Dry matter in hay
The amount of dry matter in roughage is an interesting parameter. Not only because it indicates how much dry matter is in your hay, but also because it automatically indicates the remaining percentages of water. These percentages of water provide information about how dry the hay is and how likely it is to ferment or mold.
Hay to You has its own moisture meters that we already use before we buy the hay. This is a basic requirement for the quality of the hay. It is useful to know that you can also obtain this information after an analysis, in case you do not have such meters.
