Flax, straw and shavings are now available per 6  

By popular demand our beddings are now available in smaller quantities. In the past you could only order beddings per entire pallet at haytoyou.nl. Now you can order broken flax, chopped wheat straw, chopped rapeseed hay, white shavings and XL shavings in bags of 6. Normally we deliver these without a pallet. There is a possibility to order a deposit pallet on the side. 

Broken flax, wheat straw, rapeseed straw, or XL shavings

There are many different beddings available in our webshop. But which one should you choose? Which one fits your animal’s needs best? The following batches of beddings are now available per entire pallet or per 6 bags.

Chopped wheat straw  

Our chopped wheat straw is harvested in France, chopped in the Netherlands, before the smaller pieces and dust is removed. It absorbs more moisture than standard straw which makes mucking out easier. The muck is able to be used as a fertiliser after a relatively short period. This beddings is definitely a match if you want to use the muck as a fertiliser

Chopper rapeseed straw  

Chopped rapeseed straw is harvested in France, chopped in the Netherlands before the smaller pieces and dust is removed. It has the same characteristics as chopped wheat straw as well as two pros. Namely, it has a higher absorbency and masks the stable’s smell.

Broken Flax 

Our broken flax is also grown in France and the dust is removed in one of many factories in the Netherlands and Belgium. Flax is extremely easy to use as its absorbing factors can be used multiple times as flax dries itself over time. The best thing you can do with flax is not clear your stable every week, instead to remove the wet and dirty patches and add a little fresh flax on top.

White shavings 

This bedding is only made from white sprucewood. The dust is mechanically removed before it is compressed into bales. White shavings are easy to muck out as the manure is simply to be scoped out without removing the entire bed.  

XL Shavings

These shavings are shaved off entire tree trunks and are not won from the wood-working industry like many other shavings. Besides the longer shaving (about 3-4cm instead of 1-2cm) they have another major perk; during the production there is little dust. When there is no dust in the first place it also doesn’t need to be removed. Are you looking for volume in your stable or little dust, then the XL shavings is what you are looking for.
